Margareta Carlsson

Statistics Sweden

Margareta Carlsson has worked at Statistics Sweden since 1998, with statistics on wages, salaries, labor costs and structural business statistics and the last nine years with population, migration and census statistics. She worked with Sweden’s first fully register-based census (2011). Margareta will be the project leader for the Census 2021. She was a national expert at Eurostat in 2002, working with the ad-hoc module in the Labor Force Survey. She is now a member of the task force on future EU censuses at Eurostat, who is currently working on the new framework regulation on population, census and migration

 

Danilo Dolenc

Slovenia

Mr Danilo Dolenc has been working for the Statistical Office of Republic of Slovenia for almost 40 years. His first professional experience was manual coding of the 1981 Population Census data (as a student) and he also took part in the 1991 Census data processing. He was a member of the methodological team with the main responsibility of modernising data processing (which was outsourced) for the last field enumeration census in Slovenia carried out in 2002. He was appointed Census Project Manager in 2009 and only two years after that Slovenia successfully executed the first complete register-based census. The similar census operation was repeated twice (in 2015 and in 2018) under his leadership. In general, he is an expert on using administrative data in the statistical processes, on the methodology of statistical population databases, and above all on conducting population, household and housing census irrespective of the main method used for data collection.

Deputy Director General of Sociodemographic Statistics.

He has a degree in Physical Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid. He began his professional career in private companies, in the industrial and IT sectors, for 7 years. He entered the INE through competitive examinations to the Higher Corps of State Statisticians in 1995.

In 1997 he was appointed Deputy Director General for Broadcasting. Since 2009 it occupies the current position. He is also a member of the group of Directors of Social Statistics at Eurostat (statistical office of the European Union). This group coordinates all the activity of the European statistical system in the field of demographic and social statistics.

General Director of Sociodemographic Statistics

Mathematician from the University of Guadalajara (U de G) and Master in Economics from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM). In addition, he has a Diploma in Public Administration and Fighting Corruption from the National Institute of Criminal Sciences (INACIPE).
He has participated in research work on issues of population density explained through Dynamic Systems and Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations at the Washington State University (WSU) in the United States of America.
In the Public Administration he currently works as Director of Government Information Models, being responsible for both the national survey of victimization in households (ENVIPE) and the national survey of victimization in companies (ENVE), in addition
from various surveys on government, public security and justice issues. Through the UNODC ‒ INEGI Center of Excellence, it advises on an international level to various government agencies
